Derick and Paige met at Embassy Tavern in Denver in May 2023. Paige saw him walk in, decided immediately he looked interesting, and asked his name, because of course she did. Derick introduced himself and casually wandered to the patio. Paige later joined her friends out there… only to realize Derick was sitting with them. Coincidence? Maybe. Fate? Probably.

Over the summer, Derick kept sliding into Paige’s DMs asking when he’d get to see her again. Meanwhile, Paige was too busy jetting off to the next adventure to stay in one place. Eventually, she made time for a date, and after that night the two were inseparable.

Six months later, they packed up and moved to Wilmington, NC, where they now live the coastal dream with their three dogs—Jax, Pepper and Raisin… oh, and you can’t forget Timmy, Derick's cat from college!
